Basic Tower Defense Mechanics


This is the first week of progress for Beach defense and it included blocking out a basic level, creating basic enemies and basic towers.

The level design is a simple path with slots for towers on the sides of it.


The basic enemies are path followers with a collision which removes the players health at the end.

The towers are currently a fixed object that targets a random enemy in its range.

The current build also has features for later implementing and fixing including health bars (which work except that they rotate), tower range, money, and tower cards (which will be used to place down towers).

The feedback that I have received on this build are that the enemies are misaligned to the track and some different ideas that I could take the game including one where you have to auto aim the towers.
